'Breaking Necks and Making Checks'

When it comes to wraps, few are as sharp looking as the head-turning designs created by Razor Wraps and Graphics of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The designs come from the imagination of Mark Long, who has built an extensive wrapping business by catering to some of the larger, premier tow companies throughout the state of Virginia and elsewhere.

One company that has benefitted from Long's work includes the many trucks of Dennis Towing & Recovery in Richmond.
"Mark does a great job creating unique graphics," stated Scott Vaughan, driver of their recently acquired 2019 Kenworth W900B twin-steer/Century 1150R.

Like many of Long's designs, the colors of the unit are mesmerizing. The Kenworth/Century unit consists of imperfect parallel lines of all-black and dark teal that stretch across the side of the rotator with his signature swish or two thrown in.

The colors particularly complement each other and create a "wow" factor.

Another characteristic feature of Long's work is the typically large lettering for the company's name. In this case "Dennis" is spelled out in all-white letters, along with the phone number that sits on the back end of the unit.

"If you have a large wrecker you need large lettering," Long said. "There is nothing worse than a big truck with a small name on it. It should be in proportion to the vehicle."

According to Vaughan, this rotator is a head turner that inspires its name printed on the boom, "Breaking Necks and Making Checks."

"I named it," said Vaughan. "Everybody turns their heads and looks at it--while it's making money. It tows like a dream."
